POOL HOSTING
Pool hosting allows you to obtain lessons right in your own backyard… or where ever your pool may be! Signing up to become a pool host allows you to not only get your own child into lessons, but help other children and their families to do the same.
We look at a few things when considering a pool for a session.
Location. Where is the pool located and how can we fit the distance into our current schedule.
Number of students. To pull together a session at your home we have to be able to fill a certain number of spots (this number varies on the location and our current schedule).
Is it an in-ground pool? When getting a child in/out of lessons we need to have a platform which is typically the pool deck. If you have an above ground pool we would need a pool deck or platform attached.
Is the pool heated? For early morning sessions, late evening, or early fall sessions a heated pool allows us to continue in-water as we have strict safety protocols for weather and temperatures.
*a non-heated pool can be used dependent upon the time of year and time frame for lessons
+ DO WE NEED TO BE HOME DURING ALL LESSON TIMES?
No you are not required to be there during the time frame we hold lessons. As long as we have access to the pool we are good to go!
+ DO YOU OFFER PRIVATE LESSONS?
Unfortunately we don't do private one-on-one lessons as this takes time away from being able to teach multiple children in one location. Offering private lessons limits our ability to reach more families and save more lives.
+ WHAT IF I WANT MY FRIENDS TO FILL THE SPOTS?
We try and give each pool host some time to offer spots to their family and friends. Once we reach that date we then offer all other spots to our email list first, and then open it to the public. All spots must fill before we continue with a session.
+ DO YOU NEED ACCESS INSIDE THE HOME?
No way! Parents will come to your home and enter through the backyard, have their 10 minute lesson, and then they are on their way. We always ask pool hosts if there are any specific directions you would like us to relay to parents before the first day. This typically includes parking, pool entrance, etc.
+ WHAT ABOUT LIABILITY??
All swim hosts are added to our $1,000,000 liability insurance policies. We'd be happy to send a copy for your review!
+ DO WE COMPENSATE FOR THE USAGE OF THE POOL?
Absolutely, we discount your weekly lesson rate! We apprecaite your generousity and also want to compensate you for the maintainence of your pool during our time there. From heating the pool, to shocking it, keeping up with chemicals, etc.
